Iron Gym Total Upper Body Workout Bar
Model: Iron Gym
Model: Iron Gym
Iron Gym is the multi function training bar that combines every exercise you need to build a powerful upper body. Its the ultimate body sculpting and strength building tool that helps shape the upper body and tones your midsection. The durable steel construction holds up to 300 lbs. It is designed to fit residential doorways 24" to 32" wide with doorway trim or molding up to 3 ½ inches wide.
You can pay hundreds of dollars for a "home gym" with flexing bows or rubber bands...or you can pay the equivalent of one restaurant dinner and get this simple, useful invention.Pull-ups are one of the most basic exercises for building muscle, and it's the exercise the Iron Gym was made for. No drilling, no bolts, no immovable bar to duck under. It enables both wide-grip and palms-in narrow-grip pull-ups, and after an initial period of being unsure of its strength (it's only natural), you can start working on hoisting your body weight. It's also somewhat useful as a grip for push-ups and an anchor for sit-ups, but that's secondary - you can do both those exercises just fine without the assistance of a gadget. It's really a pull-up bar.As other reviews mention, there are some big caveats for you emptors. First and foremost, it's made to fit a standard-size doorway with standard-width moulding above it. If your door is wider than normal or has either no moulding or very wide moulding, it simply won't work. If your moulding is shoddily attached, that might be a problem too. Then there's its usefulness for dips: that is to say, it's useless. The range of motion for "Iron Gym dips" is so small that you'll get almost no benefit. You'll get a better dip by just using a chair braced against a wall. And as I've mentioned before, there are no rational excuses for needing a gadget to do push-ups and sit-ups/crunches.And the "free" ab straps aren't actually free. (Paying for "shipping and handling" is still paying.)But back to the positive: assembly was easy. The box includes a wrench for the bolts, and the instructions are easy enough to understand. I had mine together in five minutes. To recap: this is an inexpensive, simple pull-up bar that you can easily install and then remove when company comes over. If that's what you'll need, it works like a charm.
The product was fine but it turned out not to fit in my doorway so I had to return it to the company. It took a little while but I got all my money back! I was really happy that it was so easy to do!
Easy installation. Easy use. I've used it every day since I bought it without a single problem. I'd recommend this to anyone. In fact four friends of mine recently went out and bought this same model.
Make sure you check your doorway measurements, also I guess there is no easy way to fix/remedy this.
Did not include arm straps, but is average and sturdy item. Another bad thing about this item is that the price is too high just for this item. Buy this if you want to work on your arms and back, but not really worth it.
