Gone is the SADE who fascinated us with there innovative Jazzy//Caribbean//Popish//R&B style and has been replaced with a more simplistic "mature" sound. This is a solid comeback record, writing and production outstanding as ever, but to much of a snoozer at times & too much acoustic guitars.... and I don't understand why after 10 years all they gave us was just 10 songs that were Tedious & Predicable. I love SADE, i really do, but wished gave us something more exciting or interesting to listen to... some remixes would be nice.
First of all, all of you who gave the CD anything less than 4 stars must be on crack cocaine! The CD is a breath of fresh air in this day of overproduced, over packaged so-called talent, replete with half naked booty shakers........"All the Single ladies" The music industry is dying because of a major lack of talent.Thank God for Sade. Enjoy it, because she will never make another CD and the industry no longer produces artists! They only produce soft porn entertainers like Beyonce, Shakira, Fergie, Pink.................Celebrate The groups genius and originality. In this hypercritical world just chill and enjoy true artistry at its best.Great CD!
Why is the mp3 version more expensive than the CD format? I can get this anywhere for $9.99!
Have been listening to Sade for years .... I was kind of looking forward to this release after hearing the single, Soldier of Love ~ I was really digging that song, and still am. Received the cd yesterday from Amazon .. not going to say it's a bad album ... it's just not like the "older" Sade music - which is what I enjoy -- oh well... If you like nice slow easy music, this is great, but if your looking for that old magic - it's not here ...
